On December 12, the Fondation La main à la pâte and the Université de La Réunion officially sealed the creation of the Maison pour la science in La Réunion. The agreement was signed at the Fondation's headquarters in Paris by Didier Roux, President of the Fondation, and Jean-François Hoarau, President of the Université de la Réunion.

The 14th Maison pour la science in the national network is led by Université de La Réunion, in partnership with the Rectorat de La Réunion, and is located at the heart of the Saint-Denis campus. Its mission is to strengthen continuing professional development and support for teachers, from kindergarten through lower secondary school, in science and technology, drawing on the Unviersity's resources, expertise and facilities.

Starting at the end of the current school year, the Maison will offer teachers a professional development program based on inquiry-based pedagogy, aligned with national curricula and rooted in the scientific, environmental, and socio-economic realities of La Réunion.

By joining the Maisons pour la science network, the Maison pour la science in La Réunion will contribute to a collective dynamic aimed at promoting science and technology education that foster observation, reasoning, and critical thinking among students.

The Fondation La main à la pâte extends its sincer thanks to the teams from Université de La Réunion, the Rectorat and the Fondation who mobilized to establish this partnership and who will work together to deploy it in support of teachers across the region.
