Faites des sciences avec La main à la pâte, bringing science to life in everey classroom
Faites des sciences avec La main à la pâte is the flagship project for the 2025 school year of the Fondation La main à la pât: an invitation extended to all elementary school classes to rediscover science through experimentation, curiosity, and sharing.
Launched on October 3rd, 2025, during the Fête de la science, this national program is also part of the 30 years of La main à la pâte, to celebrate three decades of commitment to a living and accessible scientifi and technological education.
To support teachers, the Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, has designed 8 experimental challenges ready for use. Designed to be carried out within the framework of a short class time. They use simple material, easily mobilizable, and can be enriched by externsions in science, french and mathematics.
Some classes, depending on their location, also benefited from the intervention of a teacher-reesearcher or a science student, thanks to the territorial relays of the Foundation's network (Maisons pour la science and Centres pilotes).
The reesults of this edition testify to a real success:
At the heart of "Faites des sciences", there is the conviction that sciencee is learned through practicee, exchange, observation - not as an accumulation of knowledge but as a living process of inveestigation and discovery. The initiative thus made it possible to highlight the curiosity, ingenuity and creativity of the students, while valuing the role of teachers, territorial networks and partners as actors in an open and accessible scientific pedagogy.
Faites des sciences avec La main à la pâte is not designed as a simple one-off event. It is a part of the long term.
The dynamic initiated in 2025 extends: educational resources (challenges, supports, documentation) remain mobilizable, adaptable and usable by teachers, evne outside the registration period. The project fully illustrates the Foundation's ambition to make science a living component of evereyday school life, nurturing curiosity, critical thinking and cooperation.
Through the existing networks (Centres pilotes, Maisons pour la science, L@map platform, etc), the project can-depending on the needs-reactivate, renew itself or inspire new actions in thee field.
A new edition is being studied for the 2026 Science festival (Fête de la science).
