Partners'evening: a highlight of recognition and exchange at the Institut de France
On January 27, following the presentation of La main à la pâte Awards, the Fondation La main à la pâte had the pleasure of bringing together some of its partners at the Institut de France for an evening dedicated to gratitude, dialogue, and shared commitment to science education.
On this Partners'Evening, the Fondation La main à la pâte wished to thank those who, through their support and trust, make its initiatives for innovative, engagingn, and ambitious science and technology education possible.
This special occasion also provided an opportunity to share updates on the Fondation(s programs and to exchange ideas on meaningful projects that promote the learning and practice of science froma an early age.
The evening was opened by Étienne Ghys, Permanent Secretary of the Académie des sciences, who welcomed the guests, followed by an introduction from Didier Roux, President of the Fondation La main à la pâte.
Several partners then shared inspiring testimonies during discussions moderated by Sandrine Maisano, with contributions from:
Florence Sautejeau (UTPF - Union des Transports Publics et Ferroviaires)
André-Louis Lecaille (GMF Assurances)
Silvia Mariani (Saint-Gobain Research Paris)
A particularly memorable moment of the evening came when Alain Aspect, recalled the experimental science lessons of his teacher Maurice Hirsch, after whom an asteroid is now named "to honor all teachers who inspire their students".
The evening concluded with remarks from Catherine Langlais, Vice President of the Fondation.
The Fondation La main à la pâte warmly thanks all its partners and guests for the richness of the exchanges and their ongoing commitment. Together, we continue to nurture scientific curiosity and the desire to explore the word through science.
