A birthday at the Institut de France
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the Fondation La main à la pâte celebrated, with the French Academy of Sciences, under the Dome of the Institut de France, those who have been carrying this collective adventure since its launch in 1995: teachers, students, researchers, trainers, policy makers and partners. In turn, they testified to the strength of a collective project, rooted in classes and territories.

La Maison pour la science in Aquitaine celebrates the 30th anniversary
On May 26, 2025, the University of Bordeaux hosted the 4th edition of the college congress
La main à la pâte: 180 students from seven Aquitaine colleges presented their scientific projects, participated in workshops, visited a laboratory and exchanged with researchers. The day was enriched by a lecture by Seyta Ley-Ngardigal, young researcher in neuroscience, who captivated the students with her work on a rare genetic disease. The event concluded with an intervention by Frédérique Eynaud, highlighting the importance of women in science. The project was supported by several partners, including the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the University of Bordeaux.

Inauguration of La Maison pour la science in Poitou-Charentes
The network of La Maison pour la science is expanding with the opening, on June 6th 2025, of the House for science in Poitou-Charentes, supported by La Rochelle University. This new structure marks an important step in the national development of the system, and reinforces the shared ambition to offer teachers a quality continuing education based on close collaboration between research and education.

The 5th edition of the science forum at the Centre pilote La main à la pâte in Nogent-Oise
For its 5th edition, the Science Forum returned in 2025 with renewed energy and projects full hands! From kindergarten to high school, students become ambassadors of science by presenting the approaches, experiences and reflections carried out throughout the year in their classes.

The Science Festival in Mâcon celebrates 30 years of La main à la pâte
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of La main à la pâte initiative, the DSDEN 71 organized on October 9, 2025, an event at the Jean-Moulin school and at the INSPÉ de Mâcon, in partnership with the Department of Saône-et-Loire and Réseau Canopé: scientific challenges in kindergarten and cycle 3, inauguration of the new science resource center, manipulation workshops and sensory games... The day was marked by the presence of Pierre Léna, co-founder of La main à la pâte, who recalled the link between children’s curiosity and that of researchers.

Publication of the Petit Cahier "Faires des sciences avec La main à la pâte"
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of La main à la pâte, the Foundation collaborated with the CRAP-Cahiers pédagogiques for the publication of a Petit Cahier entirely dedicated to science teaching in primary and secondary schools.
Entitled Faire des sciences avec La main à la pâte, this issue proposes 6 articles to feed the reflection and practices of teachers: fostering the scientific spirit among students, implementing an active and interdisciplinary teaching, or even opening the classroom to the world.
As for the 30th anniversary of La main à la pâte, the notebook is sponsored by Etienne Klein and written by Laure Saint-Raymond, highlighting the importance of the approach with the scientific and educational community.
